にぴったりの連続音となっている。残りの１枚は、京丹後市の水田のカエルである。実はこ\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eれこそ、30 年も前にヘスさんが私の研究室を訪問され、鳴き声の主を尋ねられたものだった。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eカエルの雄は雌を呼ぶのに鳴き、その声は種によって違う。別種の雌雄が一緒になると、子孫\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eが残らないからだ。この CD では絶えず鳴くアマガエルを背景に、シュレーゲルアオガエルの澄\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eんだ声と、トノサマガエルのくぐもった声が対照的である。アマ、トノサマはご存知でも、シ\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eュレーゲルの名は知らない方が多いだろう。しかし、その名の主は、オランダ国籍のシーボル\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eトに日本での採集品を委託され、調査した人物であり、オランダ人のヘスさんとの繋がりが連\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e想されて面白い。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e（京都大学名誉教授 松井正文）\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eフェリックス・ヘスに出会ったのは、1989 年にベルリンで開催された “ressource kunst” と\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eいう催しの時だった。その後、彼の住むオランダ北部の Haren に訪ねたり、京都北部の丹後に迎\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eえたりと、交友を重ねて来た。フェリックスからの手土産 “BOLS”という陶器製のリキュー\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eル瓶を数えると、8 本にもなる。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eGroningen 大学にあった彼の研究室には、カエルにまつわるポストカードなどの紙片があちこ\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eち壁にピンナップされていて面白かった。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e物理学者でもある彼は、南オーストラリアでブーメランの飛翔軌跡を記録中に、平原に踏み込\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eんだ時、それまで何か興味のある音に満ちていたのが、はたと止んでしまい、暫くその不思議\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eに耳をそば立てていると、次第に先に聴いた音が再現してきたことに驚いたという。それがカ\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eエルたちの習性であったことを知ってから、大好きになった彼らの鳴き声の収集が始まったの\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eだそうだ。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eその発想で制作したセンサー内蔵の幾つもの箱を部屋に吊るす形のサウンド・インスタレーシ\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eョン “Sound Creatures” は、静かに聴き入ることを人に即す傑作だ。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e後に、「丹後のカエル」編その他のカセット・テープが自費出版された。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eカエルの合奏最盛期に長く我が家に滞在していた彼は、朝に夕に方々に録音に出かけて行って\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eいた。特製のマイクロフォンを仕掛けて草地に寝転んでいた時に、鼻先に蛇がとぐろを巻いて\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eいたと、ぼくを驚かせたこともあった。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eそして、急くようにして沢山のカセット・テープが貯まり、気づくとメモ書きとの照合が不可\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e能になってしまった。友人を介して京都大学の松井正文教授を訪ねることが出来、そのことが\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e可能になった。松井先生は、各テープの頭出しの一声で、何カエルなのかを突き止めて下さっ\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eた。「あ、これは交尾中」とか・・・。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e即座に大ファンとなったフェリックスは、松井先生編纂の大きく分厚なカエルの研究書を購入\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eしていた。松井先生の風貌が、カエルのようだった(失礼)ことが今も印象に残っている。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eオランダの彼の家に泊まった時には、階段の踊り場に山積みされたオーストラリアの原住民の\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e樹木の皮に描かれたドット模様の絵画があったのを思い出す。後に「禅画」収集が始まって、\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eついには「フェリックス・コレクション」をものにし、近年プレゼントされた大カタログには\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e驚かされた。禅画に興味を抱いた頃に、うっかりフェリックス好みのそれを褒め称えたぼくに\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eも責任があるけれど、並々ならぬ審美性の高い収集癖に頭が下がる。今や世界にとっても貴重\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eなカタログになっている。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e以前、香港における sound pocket 年も前にヘスさんが私の研究室を訪問され、鳴き声の主を尋ねられたものだった。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eカエルの雄は雌を呼ぶのに鳴き、その声は種によって違う。別種の雌雄が一緒になると、子孫\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eが残らないからだ。この CD では絶えず鳴くアマガエルを背景に、シュレーゲルアオガエルの澄\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eんだ声と、トノサマガエルのくぐもった声が対照的である。アマ、トノサマはご存知でも、シ\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eュレーゲルの名は知らない方が多いだろう。しかし、その名の主は、オランダ国籍のシーボル\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eトに日本での採集品を委託され、調査した人物であり、オランダ人のヘスさんとの繋がりが連\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e想されて面白い。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e（京都大学名誉教授 松井正文）\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eフェリックス・ヘスに出会ったのは、1989 年にベルリンで開催された “ressource kunst” と\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eいう催しの時だった。その後、彼の住むオランダ北部の Haren に訪ねたり、京都北部の丹後に迎\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eえたりと、交友を重ねて来た。フェリックスからの手土産 “BOLS”という陶器製のリキュー\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eル瓶を数えると、8 本にもなる。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eGroningen 大学にあった彼の研究室には、カエルにまつわるポストカードなどの紙片があちこ\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eち壁にピンナップされていて面白かった。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e物理学者でもある彼は、南オーストラリアでブーメランの飛翔軌跡を記録中に、平原に踏み込\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eんだ時、それまで何か興味のある音に満ちていたのが、はたと止んでしまい、暫くその不思議\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eに耳をそば立てていると、次第に先に聴いた音が再現してきたことに驚いたという。それがカ\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eエルたちの習性であったことを知ってから、大好きになった彼らの鳴き声の収集が始まったの\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eだそうだ。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eその発想で制作したセンサー内蔵の幾つもの箱を部屋に吊るす形のサウンド・インスタレーシ\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eョン “Sound Creatures” は、静かに聴き入ることを人に即す傑作だ。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e後に、「丹後のカエル」編その他のカセット・テープが自費出版された。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eカエルの合奏最盛期に長く我が家に滞在していた彼は、朝に夕に方々に録音に出かけて行って\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eいた。特製のマイクロフォンを仕掛けて草地に寝転んでいた時に、鼻先に蛇がとぐろを巻いて\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eいたと、ぼくを驚かせたこともあった。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eそして、急くようにして沢山のカセット・テープが貯まり、気づくとメモ書きとの照合が不可\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e能になってしまった。友人を介して京都大学の松井正文教授を訪ねることが出来、そのことが\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e可能になった。松井先生は、各テープの頭出しの一声で、何カエルなのかを突き止めて下さっ\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eた。「あ、これは交尾中」とか・・・。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e即座に大ファンとなったフェリックスは、松井先生編纂の大きく分厚なカエルの研究書を購入\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eしていた。松井先生の風貌が、カエルのようだった(失礼)ことが今も印象に残っている。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eオランダの彼の家に泊まった時には、階段の踊り場に山積みされたオーストラリアの原住民の\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e樹木の皮に描かれたドット模様の絵画があったのを思い出す。後に「禅画」収集が始まって、\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eついには「フェリックス・コレクション」をものにし、近年プレゼントされた大カタログには\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e驚かされた。禅画に興味を抱いた頃に、うっかりフェリックス好みのそれを褒め称えたぼくに\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eも責任があるけれど、並々ならぬ審美性の高い収集癖に頭が下がる。今や世界にとっても貴重\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003eなカタログになっている。\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003e以前、香港における sound pocket
