British multi-instrumentalist Keith Seatman released this record from Castles In Space in February 2022.Contains 2 songs from psychedelic post-punk to strange beats with synths as the main source. It is an indigo board. Comes with DL code.Below is a commentary by the author himself. "The inspiration for Sad Old Tatty Bunting came early one morning in April 11, during the first British lockdown. I used to go for long walks between 2020 and 4 in the morning. Up and down streets like this, walking on beaches and proms, aimless, directionally ignorant me taking walks, early morning walks turning once familiar places into unfamiliar atmospheres. And with that change, I noticed something new that I had never seen before, or that I had never seen before. I passed by a beer garden with a very old, rather shabby looking banner, and as my eyes fell on the faded old colors, I began to wonder why the flag was there. Was it decorated for a long-forgotten anniversary, or just put up to brighten up the garden?A few weeks later, I felt like I was going for a long walk. But now and then I started noticing trees, streetlights and old banners hanging from windows. It was during these walks that an idea came to me: I called 'Sad Old Tatty Bunting'. I came up with the word and I really like it.I told my friend Douglas E. Powell about this story and he said the name of an old scarecrow (Tatty...

British post-rock band Jilk released a record from Castles In Space in March 2023.Includes 3 dreamy post-rock, dream pop, and ambient house tracks. It is a brown marble board. Comes with DL code.Below is an explanation by the label. "His predecessor, Haunted Bedrooms, established the Jilk sound, a collision of fragile electronics and experimental noise with cascading chamber music. Quiet and emotional, yet often fringed with thorns and sharp teeth. But Syrup House brings out a smoother, sweeter sound."Expect the unexpected" remains your guiding principle, but here you'll find the warmth of analog house and techno. Alongside, you can dive deep into luscious drone textures and swelling orchestrations.A church improvisation transformed into a clockwork symphony of percussion and synthesizers. Vocals are more present on Syrup House, as Jilk deconstructs traditional song structures into warm blankets of cloudy dynamics while drawing on ethereal dream-pop motifs. Syrup House follows a loose narrative of a magical realist nightclub that appears and disappears at will. The labyrinthine interior contains ecstatic corridors of love and self-realization.Ultimately, in trying times, compassion wins, and the Syrup House is where that compassion dances to lift its sorrows. I've always liked the pavilions at the mid-century World's Fairs, which seemed like a good analogy for architecture that had no function other than to be experienced. When I look at the pavilion of the , I've always loved the pre-synthesizer era, and there's something about that working process that resonates with me: the kind of creativity and craftsmanship that went into overcoming the technical constraints of the time. I like working with self-imposed artistic limitations to bring out my creativity and imbue my music with a unique personality. With Pocket Pavilion, the idea was to use the computer solely as a tape recorder. Effects were done outside the computer, such as springs, tape manipulation, sending signals through resonating objects and unusual speakers, etc. With a few exceptions, all music was composed of manipulated everyday sounds, modular Made with a synthesizer, some organs.I like to pay attention to detail, I do little paintings in paintings and secret rooms in rooms. It's slowly It is a time-consuming work method, but I think it is very stimulating.Click here for labels and other works /// Click here to...
