"Primož Bončina is a musician and producer, working primarily with electric guitar and synthesis whose sound was described as “the shimmer of decay” by the Wire magazine. His practice is informed by minimalist electronic music, traditions of synthesis and tape music, sound phenomenologies through microtonalities and distortion timbres, and formative experiences with heavy music. He is the founder and curator of Cloudchamber Recordings editions. Musically he is currently pursuing an ongoing series of static tonal pieces for electric guitar and electronics."

Artist statement by Primož Bončina:

"This has been my regular practice of breathing, open strings, building space and vibration, as much to do with movement/stillness as with the sound waves produced by the magnetic/electrical fields and, eventually, vibrating air. Circular form outwards, and further towards.

This process has been brought forward in the collaborative project with the artist known as Diskolektiv and has informed its choreography of space and duration. Durational form in choreography as well as musical composition is nothing new, but we have still been able to have a personal and Artistic takeaway of the “Yoga”, resulting in several performances, public, private and site-specific, mostly well documented.

The tape itself contains recordings created under large amounts of volume in various spaces. Ideas and approaches are reflecting what we may have done with choreography but in somewhat shorter bursts to appease time limitations of the format."
