Editions Glomar:

"The music that the three of us make together seemed to be there already. It wasn't developed exactly, but the language was there from the first moments of our first time playing together at a gig in Santa Fe. We've talked around notions but never settled; room resonance, intuitive intonation, steel string materialism, the landscape. Ultimately it's all of that and none of that, just time spent with friends. Music is social.

We recorded this record at my place in Littlefield while I was still living in Austin. The studio felt empty, not the lived-in home it typically is, but we rang the live room more fully than any other session I've had here. Throughout the day we recorded four improvised pieces in two different tunings that Ryan brought to us. Each piece on the record is assembled from two improvisations, so you're hearing the totality of what was recorded that day."
