This album was born out of a time of frustration and concern for all that was happening in the world at that time. All the pieces were recorded live, the result of multiple improvised sound collages, created over many nights, hunched over tapes and pedals. My intention was that it would be a prayer or meditation for such a time, which I paired with scriptures that resonated with me and the music. For me, songs are monuments - things that I make to mark a moment and remind me of a truth. This album was born out of a time of frustration and concern for all that was happening in the world at that time. All the pieces were recorded live, the result of multiple improvised sound collages, created over many nights, hunched over tapes and pedals. My intention was that it would be a prayer or meditation for such a time, which I paired with scriptures that resonated with me and the music.
