Quiet Time:

"'Night Blindness' was inspired by a series of near-death experiences that caused Chantal to spend prolonged periods of time in a transitory space that is somewhat akin to lucid dreaming. Day and night dissolves, time becomes transparent, forms transpose and then cease to be recognizable. To open one's eyes to darkness is to look only inwards.

“Thinking is dimmed when familiar forms of reality disappear. This is not a loss. Long periods of inner silence favor clearings, they let the light in, the flooding, the blinding…” (Etel Adnan)

Her first solo work since the 2019 collaborative album'AUNIS' with Brian Allen Simon (who also contributes sax throughout this release),'Night Blindness' will be released on limited edition cassette as well as digitally on all platforms December 3rd. "
