"Mistook Play for Play is me exploring and having fun, predominantly using chaos and feedback. Watching my kids play and be fascinated with my machines inspired me to do the same; they didn't have a purpose or a goal in mind, they just do - play is a creative act”

Waxing Crescent:

"Mistook Play for Play is a rephrase/rework of a line from a poem by David Harsent. The poem is called A Dream Book. The album itself is all about play and the track titles are all 'forms of play', taken from the 1961 book Man, Play and Games by the French sociologist Roger Cailkois."
