A split cassette by an Argentine artist has been released by Kirigirisu in Tokyo in a limited edition of 50 copies.Two songs are recorded alternately for about 10 minutes. DL code included. Pablo Picco and Lorenzo Gomez Oviedo were born in the same place, but didn't meet until December 2, when they exchanged records and talked a bit about their love for experimental music.Lorenzo then visited Pablo in Salsipuedes, Cordoba, in early February 2017.Their recording camp at that time, the naddy and natural recording jam in the woods, is the basis of this work.Tape noise, screaming violins, percussive river sounds, marching running shoes, field recordings aimed at distant sounds, and the night harmonium, which is also a component of'Tu cara estirada por el éxtasis'.After the session was over, they added some secret ingredients to the soup.Lorenzo's avant-garde piano and fragments of his fantastic poetry text were thrown into this surrealistic excursion of words and expressions.The result is a great album that reminds us of Friedrich Hölderlin's concept of expression and at the same time gives us an Impressionist feel. The use of repetition -a generally common compromise in creating lengthy and abstract compositions- is absent in the various aural incidents that take place in the album, descriptively titled “Music 4 Strings, Sintetizador, Una Flauta, Agua y Electrónika”. Like a game in nature and far from the idea of industrializing a harsh and specific sound, Bardo Todol return to the forested surroundings of their hometown and actually participate in a ritual with the natural elements of the area. The project is characterized by the ingenious mixing of many different sounds on two sides of a cassette. Running water and field recordings, distorted voices that fade away into the depth of sound, synthesizers and loops, strings from the bowels of a cave, whistling, the flute and, primarily, the aural interconnection between them, co-create a unique audio document wrapped in the most astonishing painting by Frank Vega and once again finds Pablo and Nico returning to their favorite river stream in the town of Saslsipuedes in Cordoba, while seeking their spiritual path to peace and liberation.
