The Sessions Sonata for Violin. The Blackwood was commissioned by and recorded with the assistance of the McKim Fund of the Library of Congress and was first performed by Paul Zukofsky and Easley Blackwood, October 31, 1975, as part of the Anniversary Festival of Chamber Music.
