"Linear Obsessional is delighted to present the debut album by the London based musician and artist Charlotte Law. Charlotte uses an electric guitar, placed on its back and played with a bow and other implements, and with objects balanced on the strings.
Her recent live gigs have brought audiences to a standstill as she weaves a delicate and precise world of subtle drones and mysterious incidents. The album also includes an example of her text work and a recording using the plants and flowers in her studio ... "

Using his four-track recorder Larson piles up the simple phrases of his guitar into dense enveloping washes of juddering mesmerising sound. While the above case histories may have led one to expect something rather noisy and unkempt, this music has quite a professional sheen, is expertly performed, and not too many bumps in the road; despite label notes claiming a “punky DIY texture” in the music, many tracks are more like a bedroom version of Frippertronics – which is actually a good avenue to be exploring.
