Improvising on the shakuhachi and a small, portable live electronics setup, I explore my place by the river and how I can blend in, creating long moments of birdsong, trains, wind, shakuhachi and technology.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cem\u003eThe word “loess” (LOW-ess) refers to a type of sediment that is the result of wind depositing small amounts of dust on the same location over geological time. These tracks were initially conceived as soundtracks for an event organized by some friends. Anyway, this sonic material was more than sound design for me, it is a kind of more psychedelic stuff. So basically the more I immersed myself in it, the more I felt i've been swallowed by a sonic vortex.
