From the label: From the label:

"Shining a spotlight on their core pairing of synth boogie and delicate melodies, Milk Talk's first full-length is a retrospective encompassing the first four years of the group's bittersweet, analog funk. Recorded in Japan beneath the shadow of Himeji Castle, the album comprises a blend of new material, retooled mixes, and tracks previously unavailable on a physical release.

The album's lead single “The Velvet Line” is driven by the beguiling power of Milk Talk's Tokyo-based vocalist Qi, while New Jersey-native musician Hair Kid's collection of vintage synthesizers is out in full force on a completely reinterpreted “Subway is a Lady ”, bringing the album's second side to a climax of “fuck you, motherfucker” incantations.

For the first time, the Kitsuné Musique-released single “Playboy” is presented in its full form, “Ah Be Rue” and “Transistor Lover”'s mixes have been reworked, while “Pixelated Girl” and “Sakura Chill” had only been available digitally before this release. All eight tracks have been remastered on a 1970s Studer half-inch tape machine by Gus Elg at Sky Onion Mastering in Portland, Oregon."
