"Forthcoming cassette album from longstanding Sydney noise-maker Nick Dan [previously released a live CDR on chem imbal back in 2016, under his solo darkwave / neo-goth alias; The Blinding & of various projects / bands incl. Antipan, Vavenge, xNoBBQx, Sun of the Seventh Sister, Galah Galah Galah, DPRK, LGO, et al. & Pulled Out Records] bizarrely titled "yZyLSTNyNjZZ" (..a take on easy listening jazz *) but a good fit once ya hear this serve of approx. 60mins of pure modular synth .. quality oddball noise --glitches, static, broken beats, sounding something like an old Nintendo gameboy & / or ol'AM radio transmitter that've been run over then [tried to be] turned back on, amongst other wild electronic explorations ...
A rare offering under his own name, besides a few compilation tracks, recently on Grog Pappy's "V / A: Color In Tote Bag" 2CS. Comp. 2021 & ci's 2017 "V / A: [SYD.TEK-NO?] C60 mixtape "of 12 trax by Sydney-based solo beat makers / producers, etc .. then only a handful of solo releases as ND over the years such as; Black Petal CDR, mprov 3" CDR, Smoking Cones CDR, over.in. formation 5 "Lathe and last year's
self-released digital album "sqrpn" (which was also pure modular synth). "

I even performed a few shows in the US with Peter and Antony Milton, when they came to New England for a short tour, over a decade ago now. Nice guys. The three of us recorded some jams in my living room back then, but nothing great... I ended up chopping it up and using 'em as source sounds, though I don't recall where it all ended up.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eI remember one concert we did at the 'Ecstatic Yod' store in Western Massachusetts, where Peter was excited to find \u0026amp; buy a copy of the classic Plagal Grind record(!!!*) - Kinda thought everyone in NZ owned that already ..S'pose not!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003ePeter and I had been in touch for awhile since then and had broached th' idea of making a proper album together... and finally, th' stars aligned and it happened. We began before Covid-19, but certainly being stuck inside hastened its completion. I even performed a few shows in the US with Peter and Antony Milton, when they came to New England for a short tour, over a decade ago now. Nice guys.
