Recorded 2014-2018 in Hilo, Phoenix, Los Angeles.

These pieces represent significant change for me. I left Los Angeles (my home of 17 years) in 2014 and much of this music reflects that and the subsequent time adjusting to my new surroundings. While there are emotional mile markers, this time also marked a Some of the source material was literally recorded underwater using hydrophone mics. Other pieces were written to capture the emotional parallels of floating and drowning.

There's no good explanation as to why this wasn't released sooner. Time moves quickly and I'm generally not one to look back. In this case, I was on to the next project before sending this one out to the world. It's been I get nostalgic hearing the vulnerability that I hadn't realized was so inherent in this music. I'm reminded of the exuberance of new love and the limitless. I'm also reminded of the frustration of feeling stuck and conflicted feelings I had around the idea of'home,' as both a physical place and a mindset.
