This work is a song from the audiovisual project Phantoms performed by both parties.Includes 8 Strange Beats-collage songs that improvise sound while projecting 7mm images related to dances of all ages, from records of African tribes to experimental films. DL code included.

“The composer and visual artist Pierre Bastien celebrated for more of 40 years of musical and poetic inventions teamed up in 2013 with Eddie Ladoire, a musician and artist working on sound installations and soundscapes to create a show around Dance:“ Phantoms ”.
The aim with “Phantoms” was to edit and loop old movies of dancers from all times and spaces (from African tribal dances to Frères Lumières experiments) to create an original choregraphy accompanying the music played live by the two musicians.
Here is the original soundtrack of Phantoms.
Pierre Bastien's distinctive sound made of motors, meccano sculptures, home-made cylinder synth, hijacked turntable and unlikely trumpet meets the keyboards and electronics of Eddie Ladoire playing hectic improvisations, dark drones and light melodies. choregraphy featuring limping dancers, looped skeletons, flying Russians, ancestral rituals… ”
