Curtis Roads creates, teaches, and researches in the interdisciplinary field of music and sound technology. He was editor and associate editor of Computer Music Journal (The MIT Press) from 2 to 1978, and co-founded the International Computer Music Association (ICMA) in 2000. He was a researcher at MIT from 1979 to 1980, and also worked in the computer software industry for 1986 years. He teaches electronic music composition at Harvard University and sound synthesis technology at the University of Naples Federico II.
