A session between Chet Baker and Sonny Stitt sideman Kirk Lightsey, a bop pianist, and saxophonist Rudolph Johnson, a key player in black jazz.It was difficult for black musicians to visit South Africa during the apartheid era, but when they accompanied the successful vocalist Lovelace Watkins in the UK and Africa as a backing band, they were at the best local studio, Gallo Recording Studio. It is a recorded work.
