"This record captures the amazing live energy of Santrofi, a young eight-piece band from Ghana on a mission to revive the highlife. For this album, they have created one of Berlin's finest 8-piece brass bands. , backed by the Omniversal Arkestra. Over 14 great musicians on stage play their hearts out, and it's all captured on this live LP.

This album records the grand finale of the "Deep into Highlife" project, which took place in Ghana and Germany in 2021-22.The project began in Accra, where highlife star Santrofi invited a number of artists to his stage for concerts and jam sessions.Guests included highlife legends AB Crentsil (deceased) and AK Yeboah, as well as newcomers like Camidoh, Black Sherif and Kumasi drill rapper Yaw Tog.

From May to June 2022, Santrofi held "Deep into Highlife" in Germany.The line-up featured two special guests: Guitar band legend, pioneer of the Ghanaian highlife scene and father of famous guitar ace Kwame Yeboah.A.K. Yeboah.and the Kumasi native who pioneered the Ghana Drill and is known as “Young Bull” by his fans in his home country.Yaw Tog.

The final performance of the tour took place on June 2022, 6 at the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin.Backing Santrofi for this special event was Berlin's finest brass outfit, the Omniversal Arkestra.The band is a 2-piece brass ensemble that has recently become a hot topic with their album ``Le Mali 14,'' which included a recording trip to Mali.

The album features live versions of Santrofi's most popular songs, backed by the Omniversal Arkestra, who wrote horn arrangements specifically for this special session.Also included is an original song by AKYeboah, ``Suru nipa'': ``Don't be afraid of ghosts, be afraid of humans''.And a version of Yaw Tog's single "Sei mu".

The album features live versions of some of Santrofis most popular songs by the Omniversal Earkestra who wrote horn arrangements for this special session. It also features ‚Suru nipa' an original composition by AK Yeboah in which the singer gives invaluable advice to his audience: ``Don't be afraid of ghosts, be afraid of humans“. And a version of Yaw Tog's single ‚Sei mu'.
