Below is a commentary by the label.

"The soundtrack for the stage adaptation of JEAN GENET's "Prisoner of Love" directed by Takashi Ito, and the parallel video installation "The Dead Dance".

Genet's final literary work, chronicling the two years he spent in a Palestinian refugee camp in Jordan, was written nearly a decade later, when many of the men he knew had been killed and he himself was near death. Prisoner of Love is a masterful portrayal of the times and the men, and it reaffirms the author's commitment not just to the Palestinian revolution but to the revolt itself.

Limited to 200 copies, serial numbered and handmade, with a specially made outer 180G record (enclosed), performance and installation image booklet and essay by Satoshi Yakaku (original Japanese + English translation), no digital edition.

Purge:

"TAKASHI INAGAKI's original soundtrack score for filmmaker TAKASHI ITO's Japanese-language stage adaptation of JEAN GENET's Prisoner of Love, and its parallel video installation, The Dead Dance.

GENET's final literary work recounts the two years he spent in Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan. Prisoner of Love, 'written some ten years later, when many of the men Genet had known had been killed, and he himself was dying, is a beautifully observed description of that time and those men as well as a reaffirmation of the author's commitment not only to the Palestinian revolution but to rebellion itself.'"
