"Salmoni is an acoustic duo formed by Filippo Gillono on acoustic guitar and Zevi Bordovach on harmonium. In 2019 they started a cohabitation in Turin with other musicians from the experimental scene of the city. Their common devotion to Robert Wyatt leads the two musicians to start playing So begins a musical research to reach a spontaneous, instinctual, ancestral sound. Their first album'Salmoni' is the consideration of the life of It's been recorded completely at home on an old National tape recorder. Acoustic instruments, tape recorders and field recordings create an intimate dialogue, suggesting a musical reflection that explores streams and changes of life.

Please note that the track titled'Full album' is longer than all the separate tracks put together.

Filippo Gillono is an Italian guitarist and composer, he studied in Turin Jazz guitar (BA) and Jazz composition (MA). He is an active member of the experimental and improv scene in Turin. Over the past years he has been working internationally with the trio Naso 2, and the Italian collective Pietra Tonale.

Zevi Bordovach, based in Turin, plays pianoHe's been working internationally over the past years with Andrea Laszlo de Simone, Francesco Bianconi, Pietra Tonale and others. "

Originally born in Liverpool, England, to Welsh-Irish and German parents, his family later migrated to Australia in 1965. In this dark place I found a lot of inner peace and strength in watching the repetitive cycles of the tide, soaking up every sound, every movement, every feeling and, eventually, reconnecting to myself in a way I never had before. Through this album I discovered the importance of repetitive sound in giving space and structure to my autism.
