"Jordan Christoff is an artist with an inimitable approach to long-form composition, showcased not only in his solo works but in collaborative projects such as Anarchist Mountains (with his brother Stefan Christoff) and PJS (with Patrick Dique). In'Residues', his first solo full-length for Amek, it is through subterranean bass drones, vast synths, and tamed abrasive noisescapes that Jordan Christoff succeeds in painting four monumental drone ambient pieces. Exploring the harsher and heavier drone ambient territories, he gives his typically dreamy and multi-layered music just the right amount of rawness and grit to allow the listener to remain not too detached from reality, while comfortably nestled in and breathing the sandy air of'Residues'.
