This is a record released by Kipp Stone, an American hip-hop artist from Ohio, in January 2024 from the Chicago hip-hop label Closed Sessions.

The following is a commentary by the writer himself.

 "This album is about ultimately becoming the best version of yourself. This album uses case studies of people in my life to show me where I admire them and their unique characteristics." As the album progresses, I turn inward and compare myself to them. The phone calls are mini "informal" therapy sessions sprinkled throughout the album to update listeners on my journey. Eventually, as I chip away at myself, I begin to uncover the roots of my problems, and by the end of the album I end up "killing" them. Killing means learning to put into practice their beneficial traits and get rid of their many negative elements. I use these people as pieces of the puzzle to complete me, moving one step closer to a better version of myself.

66689 is translated as OTW (On The Way).

BLVD (Breathe.Love.Vibrate.Die) will one day be my stage name at another stage of my career.

This album is a prelude and the first of three in the series.

Making this album was unlike any other album I've worked on before. I recorded the entire album by myself, mostly freestyle. I literally isolated myself and made this entire album almost in secret. I smoked some diet weed (CBD), went with the beat, and just went with the flow. There were also times when I would be stuck in the studio alone for up to 15 hours at a time after the studio closed. "I think it was appropriate considering the content of the album."

Artist statement by Kipp Stone:

"This album is about finally becoming the best version of myself. Using case studies of people in my life to help guide me, the album starts with me idolizing these people and their specific traits. As the album progresses, I go inward and compare myself to them. The phone calls are mini “unofficial” therapy sessions spread throughout the album to update the listener on my journey. Ultimately, as I chip away at myself, I start to uncover the root of my problems and by the end of the album I “kill” those people. By “kill”, I mean I learn to implement the helpful attributes of these people and do away with a lot of the negative. I take a step closer to this better version of myself almost using these people as puzzle pieces to complete me.

66689 translates to OTW (On The Way).
