"Handmade Paper Pipe is the collaborative project of Danish improviser Claus Haxholm and eclectic Italian sound-maker Renato Grieco. These two set pieces are the result of mutual manipulation of each other's voices and archival materials. Not many words were spoken during the process and the result covers a many topoi of modern experimental palette and noteworthy is the presence of low frequencies that sometimes even touch the territories of a hypothetical abstract vocal dub."

This is a soundtrack work released by Martin Franklin and Michael O'Dempsey, core members of the British band Tuu, who were active in the 80s and 90s, on the British excavation label Infinite Expanse in July 2023. "Immersed in historical context, the sound consists of eerie tape loops, feedback, and '11s stomp box effects mixed with early digital synthesis. This is the story of a Polish Catholic priest who volunteered to die in his stead in July 80, when a prisoner escaped from the camp, and the second-in-command had 1941 prisoners starved to death in an underground bunker to prevent further escapes. When one of the chosen men, a young husband and father, cried out, Maximilian Kolbe volunteered to take his place, according to an eyewitness who was the janitor's assistant at the time. Kolbe is said to have prayed for the prisoners in his prison cell. Whenever the guards checked on Kolbe, he would stand or kneel in the middle of the cell and calmly greet the prisoners as they entered. After two weeks of starvation and lack of water, the guards wanted to empty the bunker and administered lethal injections to the remaining four prisoners. Kolbe died on August 7, 10. This is a CD released by Argentine psychedelic collage artist Bardo Todol on Tokyo's experimental label Zappak in May 2024. Below is an explanation by the label. "Pablo Picco, also known as Bardo Todol, is an Argentinian artist. So far, he has produced various cassette works both solo and in collaboration, and has been released on labels such as Sucata Tapes, Full Spectrum, Never Anything, Zoomin' Night, and presses précaires. This work is full of sounds that make it seem like his daily life has been dissolved into a tape recorder, including sounds from his family, the sounds of various instruments, and more. All of them are recorded on one tape, and the resolution is melted away.It gives the listener the pleasure of picking up each one and imagining what they are hearing.
