"Sound artist and researcherDushume started in the music technology field in 2000. In 2021, he launched a research project addressing the underrepresentation of black and brown writers in experimental music and sound. Exploring Cultural Diversity in Experimental Sound was held at the Sound/Image Research Center at the University of Greenwich.

Disruptive Frequencies is one of the results of this research.Dushume, along with five other black and Southeast Asian experimental/electronic artists, recorded new material for release as part of this compilation.
Across noise, high-energy electronic music, deep bass, ambient, and experimental soundscapes, this compilation explores institutional whiteism, racist prejudice, lack of visibility, and access to experimental techniques. It is a challenging statement. Each work pushes the boundaries of sound manipulation, turntablism, field recording, audio fragmentation and sound collage techniques. "
