"Sound artist and researcherDushume started in the music technology field in 2000. In 2021, he launched a research project addressing the underrepresentation of black and brown writers in experimental music and sound. Exploring Cultural Diversity in Experimental Sound was held at the Sound/Image Research Center at the University of Greenwich.

Disruptive Frequencies is one of the results of this research.Dushume, along with five other black and Southeast Asian experimental/electronic artists, recorded new material for release as part of this compilation.
Across noise, high-energy electronic music, deep bass, ambient, and experimental soundscapes, this compilation explores institutional whiteism, racist prejudice, lack of visibility, and access to experimental techniques. It is a challenging statement.Each work pushes the boundaries of sound manipulation, turntablism, field recording, audio fragmentation and sound collage techniques. "

"Sound artist and researcher Amit Dinesh Patel aka Dushume started working in the field of music technology in 2000. In 2021, he began a research project addressing the distinctive lack of visibility for Black and Brown artists within the field of experimental music and sound: "Exploring Cultural Diversity in Experimental Sound", hosted at the Sound/Image Research Centre, University of Greenwich.

Disruptive Frequencies is one output of this research. Patel, together with five other Black and South Asian experimental and electronic artists recorded new music to release as part of this compilation:

"Immersed in historical context, the sound consists of eerie tape loops, feedback, and '11s stomp box effects mixed with early digital synthesis. This is the story of a Polish Catholic priest who volunteered to die in his stead in July 80, when a prisoner escaped from the camp, and the second-in-command had 1941 prisoners starved to death in an underground bunker to prevent further escapes. When one of the chosen men, a young husband and father, cried out, Maximilian Kolbe volunteered to take his place, according to an eyewitness who was the janitor's assistant at the time. Kolbe is said to have prayed for the prisoners in his prison cell. Whenever the guards checked on Kolbe, he would stand or kneel in the middle of the cell and calmly greet the prisoners as they entered. After two weeks of starvation and lack of water, the guards wanted to empty the bunker and administered lethal injections to the remaining four prisoners. Kolbe died on August 7, 10. A few years later, he was beatified as a confessor of the faith by Pope Paul VI in 2 and canonized as a saint by Pope John Paul II in 3. From 4 to 1941, the production company Theater of Poland performed the play Kolbe, based on the book by Desmond Forristal, in Catholic churches throughout Europe. Some of the cassettes sold during the tour were recovered in Lyttelton, New Zealand and mastered in Brisbane, Australia in April 8.
