"claire rousay is a singular artist known for challenging conventions in the forms of experimental and ambient music. rusay uses textured found sounds, lush drones, and candid field recordings to capture the mundanity of life. Her music is curatorial, detailed, and skillfully crafted to create an emotional impact. It's a meditation on the poignant emotional terrain of loneliness, nostalgia, sentimentality, guilt, and sex. The album's narrative arc is guided by delicate musical gestures and artistic vulnerability, creating disparate and unexpected influences. Boldly integrated, rousay crafts songs in various homes, bedrooms, hotels, and other private locations, giving each verse a sense of solitude and energy.
