”Musical Journey under the Name of Ghost Sisters

The group of songs recorded in this album is the gist of what I was working on before the band/project called ghost sisters came to mind. It had a slightly too broad musicality to be released under the name sappow, so it was left unrecorded.However, I found that the sound fit perfectly with the idea of ​​the band/project called Ghost Sisters, so I decided to finish it as an album.Originally, we welcomed participating guests to the recorded sound source and recorded it additionally, and three songs in the album were completely new songs.

Basically, I used the sound of a band centered on rough guitars, but it was all based on performance, and I rarely used automatic performance using sequences.I tried to broaden the range of sounds by using a wide range of instruments that I had at hand.

The first four songs are a group of songs made so that you can experience rock-like catharsis.I feel that the result is an unintentional inclusion of the elements that one seeks when listening to music, such as madness, haste, groove, and relaxation.It is a very thrilling development with a composition method centered on improvisation rather than composing.

'just like gold', which is placed in the second half, is also the title of this album, but I brought it here because I thought that the powerful sound and melody of unwavering gold would be suitable for the title track.

The next 'wanderlust' is a large song that lasts more than 20 minutes. 'Images of atoms and planets' by sappow included in the compilation album "Unfinished Sympathy Vol​.​2 -Unlikely Songs-" released on the Unfinished House (UH) label was also produced at this time.For this album, we recorded additional songs to 'wanderlust' and successfully recorded them.'wanderlust' was also a candidate for the title of the album, but in the end it was 'Just Like Gold'. 'wanderlust' means 'wanderlust', and it expresses a strong desire for wandering and exploration, so I think it's a very appropriate title for musical exploration, and I myself have created songs in various styles. I feel that this kind of wandering spirit of inquiry is at the root of my work.Various instruments are used unprincipledly (?) in the song to show it clearly.

The last is a quiet song called 'black_hole'.Beautiful synthesizer singletracks, acoustic guitar harmonics, piano, violin and other tranquil sounds round out the unscrupulous journey.

The artwork design for the album was again handled by nzworkdown.The original drawings are by sappow.The drawing was drawn more than 10 years ago and was taken from my own sketchbook.I handed over the material to nzworkdown, who listened to the early demo of this album while designing it.After discussing various elements such as color scheme, texture, placement, and font, we finally had the wonderful artwork you see.

Ultimately, what I wanted to express in this artwork was to show that it was created with the support of people.Of course, depending on the song, there are songs that I played and finished by myself, and there are songs that I made almost alone.However, there were some songs that I wanted to finish because of the support I received in finishing the album, and the improvisation in the first half of the album was played in the same space, which evoked a lot of images. .Some of the songs were really soulful as they yelled at them, and this amazing artwork would never have been completed without your support.

I wanted to express these feelings subtly, rather than express them strongly.
