This is a CD released by Italian experimental musician Marta Zapparoli from Italian experimental/ambient label Silentes in July 2023.
This is a drone work using a self-made crystal radio, specific lights, and a motor. Gate forfo digital sleeve specification.
The following is a commentary by the writer himself.
"After a long study focused on natural radio phenomena (VLF) that emanate from the aurora borealis, I was inspired to realize a live performance and naturally compose a piece for this release.
This work is a mix of recordings I made in Norway and studio recordings, combining a homemade crystal radio with specific lights, detectors, motors and antennas to simulate a technical audio version of the Northern Lights. .
"Interdimensional" refers to the movement of energy between modes of perception, especially in the dimensions of space and time. Part of this energy comes from a composed mixture of ``natural cosmic voices,'' and the other part comes from electromagnetic forces generated and captured in real time in the studio.
This work makes full use of the contrast of invisible processes to create new experiences of space, time, and human scale. This is an attempt to achieve a unique sonic dialogue between the "natural" and "technical" worlds, and a reflection on nature imitated by technology in an artificial age. "

"After a long research focused on the Natural Radio phenomena (VLF) coming from the Northern Lights, I realized a live performance that inevitably inspired me to compose a piece for this release.
The piece is composed with recordings I made in Norway mixed with studio recordings, using a self made crystal radio, in combination with a specific light, detectors, motors, and antennas, to simulate a technological audio version of the Northern Lights.
“Interdimensional” specifically refers to the movement of energy between modes of perception, in dimensions of space and time. One part of this energy come from the composed mixture of “natural cosmic voices”; and another part is coming from the electromagnetic forces generated and captured in real time in studio.
