In the end, I used sawtooth waves instead of string samples or acoustic instruments. Spectral Mask Room Construction This work explores audio perception and onset partials in spectral masking. I started with woodblock print samples. For me, the harsh yet beautiful impact sound of woodblock prints is complex. This short sound acts as a very noticeable and frightening sound cue. After listening to a single strike for many hours and performing a thorough spectral analysis, I began to hear and understand that the complex material complex of a strike extends beyond its short temporal lifespan. became.
