This is a record released by Austrian experimental electronic trio Innode on the country's long-established label Editions Mego in April 2024. Contains 4 songs from free jazz, glitch techno to post-industrial strange beats. "The trio of Bernhard Breuer, Stephen Hess and Stefan Nemeth once again applied a new methodology to the production of the album. The trio's approach was to create a new album without any pre-conceptual intentions, but rather to focus on the creative process itself. Irregular rhythmic patterns are often the starting point for each piece, and Brewer uses drums or modeling percussion synthesizers to create loops. Existing formulaic grids are often eschewed; this costume embraces such anti-precise steps, a process that builds shapes around a dirty template. In the case of Splitter, you can hear an example of Bernhard's core loop dominating the skeletal audio sphere in the track title Impactopium. Reflecting a holistic construction process, audio is a non-linear compendium of several pieces of individual elements, as a conscious method to explore a more decentralized architecture. Three disparate elements are layered randomly, and in the later stages, synths are added as a sonic flavor. Also, sound elements are sometimes reconstructed in unusual ways, captured by contact microphones. The last track introduces the twisted theme of the first song. The title, Grain, also refers to the roughness that results from such exploration. We also pay attention to the grains that are generated, or in the case of audio, distorted signals, or the word "noise." All of these elements, which are usually shunned, are embraced here as thematic threads that encourage exploratory progression. This is a playbox of ingenuity, a hall of mirrors, a never-ending quest for unusual tactics and fresh results. Innode approached his first loop track with a variety of strategic approaches, creating an uncannily cohesive piece. From sparse source material to heavy overdubs, this is an uplifting collection of work from this insatiably curious and inquisitive Austrian collective. Humans create works, but the random acceptance of unexpected processes means that this group does not have complete control over the course of these works. This is the latest work released by Editions Mego in December 2021 by Powell, a techno writer from London, England, who has announced in the past from Diagonal and XL.It is an ambient work with the piano as the main source, which is different from the previous works. DL code included.Below is a description of the label. Editions Mego is proud to release Powell's strange and bizarre computer work LP, Piano Music 12-1.With the opening of his Diagonal Records, XL Recordings, and more recently the audio / film platform A Folder [afolder.studio], Powell has established a solid foothold in the modern electronics world. In his light and stubborn musical life, he has explored and expanded the territory of post-punk, techno, noise and computer music, creating a myriad of synthetic forms.Last year alone, he released four high-definition abstract albums, inspired by the formalization of music proposed by Iannis Xenakis. As an extension of this intense work / research / play using stochastic functions (composing with probabilities), various processes were born and Powell began to apply them to more traditional musical events.Usually in his work, probabilities and relationships are used to define parameters such as waveforms, wraps, FM, filter modes, but now he can now play music formations and visions using any software / MIDI instrument. I started using them to make a target score [one of them is on the back cover of the LP].While mapping this relationship, he used the basic Grand Steinway sampler as a placeholder instrument, but as the process prolonged, he embraced the acoustics of synthetic pianos and made it into this new piece. It came to be the foundation of. Piano Music 7-4 is "Music ...
