The series kicks off with Skip Club Orchestra, who, alongside DJ Fulltono and CRZKNY, started the outlines catalogue. This Japanese artist is an extremely important figure for outlines - along with the aforementioned Japanese producers, he forms the sonically and conceptually specific foundation for the musical explorations of the label's owner, Pawel Dunajko. The starting point for this release was a JMT VDR-1 drum synthesizer, characterised by its intuitive aspects, its limited sonic capacities and the challenge to stretch the machine's possibilities. This one instrument informs the structure of the album, fixed in tempo, track and total length. Reducing his tools to a bare minimum, Hafner explicitly refers to specific genre traditions inherent in this radical form. The starting point for this release was a JMT VDR-1 drum synthesizer, characterised by its intuitive aspects, its limited sonic capacities and the challenge to stretch the machine's possibilities. This one instrument informs the structure of the album, fixed in tempo, track and total length. Reducing his tools to a bare minimum, Hafner explicitly refers to specific genre traditions inherent in this radical form. The modern and futuristic footwork sound is combined here in a surprising way with the story of two Chicago legends. 'Variation' is the third number on the A-side, which calms the atmosphere\u003cspan class=\"bcTruncateMore\"\u003e after the extremely exciting and dynamic 'Dance\/Music'. We find ourselves in a dub-ambient space, watching the spectacular ethereal images shift.
