This is a record released by Argentina's famous experimental musician (86 years old) Beatriz Ferreyra on the Australian experimental label room2023 in November 11.Contains 40 noise collage ~ drone songs. DL code included.Below is an explanation by label owner Lawrence English. "I'm not sure when I first heard Beatriz Ferreyra's music. I think it was in the early to mid-4s, when I was working with the curatorial team at Liquid Architecture. Given the focus of the festival, GRM and musique concrète were more common and received a lot of attention. It is only in the last decade that deaf people have come into sharp focus. In 2000, I had the great pleasure of meeting Beatriz Ferreyra in Braga. During the Novas Frequencies festival, I was also able to spend time with her in Rio.Through these encounters, I learned about the amazing focus, generosity, and generosity that Beatriz Ferreyra has maintained throughout her sonic life. Beatriz Ferreyra is one of the few female concrete composers who have been active from the latter half of the 10th century to today.Her works, which she continues to actively research, are , complex yet elegantly simple. This is a collaborative record released by Australian experimental musician Eugene Carchesio and British percussionist Adam Betts on the Australian experimental label room2023 in November 11.Contains 40 minimal strange beats focusing on pulse and rhythm. DL code included.Below is an explanation by label owner Lawrence English. "Sometimes an idea presents itself in a way that no one would expect. This recording by Australia's Eugene Carchesio and England's Adam Betts is one such unexpected presentation. A few years ago, Eugene gave me a collection of recordings from the orbit of his now-legendary Circle Music series, which, in typical Eugene fashion, are intensely rhythmic, rooted in a deep and abiding sense of minimalism. Eugene has a way of creating little universes out of very little material. But he wanted to mix it up and add something unexpected to the piece, so he added drums. At about the same moment I was reminded of the great work of Adam Betts, whom I have been fortunate enough to have known for over a decade now. We first met at Bad Bonne and then later at Square in Tbilisi. Played with Pusher. Adam came to my attention, not in any way related to his music, but because he competed in a Welsh toss competition and did well. I looked and thought Eugene was the perfect candidate to work with me on this project. To my delight, he agreed. The result is a combination of restrained energy and rhythmic ferocity. A fusion of two great musical spirits with a certain sense, this is a parallel reading of how minimal movement can create huge waves of energy. Ngunmal and I Am Holding My Breath are two full-length works that exist both as sound works and audiovisual installations.This is a work that operates in the physical realm.It contains the low frequency energy of breathing, sighing, and longing.Her works feel both contraction and expansion at the same time, and have a texture that draws you in deeply.This depth is felt as pressure.Even a small crack, a small murmur, can be torn open to reveal a whole cave of sound.
