Dead stock of Polish cult experiment label Alicja works has arrived.

This work is a cassette released in June 2021 by Estonian experimental musician Ratkiller. Contains over 6 minutes of sound collage drama masterpieces. It is out of print. DL code included.

Below is a description of the label.

It starts violently and gets worse.Scraps that are barely rattling, and audio documents that are at the limit of perception are studded, leading to a sexually painful and persistent baby crying.Eventually she speeds up and the synth slips in, ending. Tomiris is born.

Club concrete producer Ratkiller's "Tomiris" is a concept-based reconstruction of the 2019 Kazakh movie's soundtrack of the same name, occupying a similar strange mythical space.

The movie "Tomiris" is a work that creates a national myth funded by the Ministry of Culture of Kazakhstan. There is an atmosphere that combines Mad Max and Crouching Tiger, and there is an unstable historical basis with the female hero. This work is made with the inconvenient details blurred, centering on the fact that the modern Kazakhs equate with the horsemen of the grasslands. The protagonist speaks ancient Turkish, which is not in history, and the villain speaks modern Persian, which is not in history. So it's hard to understand all of them.

"Rat Killer" super-assimilates this epic of blood and dust, enlivening flames, blood glue, and fraying violence, and rewriting the lines to make the characters look like giant steroid-coated demons. If the female warlord is a feminist, the rat killer Tomyris is a feminist like the Hindu goddess Kali.

Soundly, it's a series of outdoor parties, with dance-rolled dust, and occasionally trances flowing into the loops of a machine on the fairground, arms caught and amputated, light gore depictions, followed by a party. I'm going.

Tomiris is unique in Ratkiller's production breadth and flexibility (listening to 2019's blue thirty), applying his bag of sound tricks to an ongoing story and a lengthy sound palette, and more. You can dive deeply. It's as compelling as a dagger that sticks into your throat, and you can immerse yourself in the milk of a mare.

Rattled barely-percussive scrapings, peppered with audio documents at the edge of perception lead to an unignorably painful and persistent crying baby. Eventually she is sped up, synths slide in and it's over. ..

Club-concrete producer Ratkiller's Tomiris is a conceptual reworking of the soundtrack to the 2019 Kazakstani film of the same name and it occupies a similar weird mythic space.

Tomiris the film is a piece of national myth making financed by the Kazakstani ministry of culture. It has a mad-max-meets-crouching-tiger vibe, a kick-ass female lead and a shaky historical basis. It builds itself around the contemporary. Kazakh identification with the horse peoples of the steppe, blurring the inconvenient details. Our heroes speak ancient Turkic ahistorically and the villains ahistorical-contemporary-Persian. So understanding ALL of it is off the menu.

Ratkiller takes this blood and dust epic and hyper-identifies with it, amping up the flames, the gore, the abrasive violence and re-working the dialogue so the characters seem like gigantic steroided-out-ogres. If female warlords are feminist then Ratkiller's Tomiris is a feminist in the mode of the Hindu goddess Kali – devourer of men.

Sonically most of the action takes place at a series of outdoor parties, dust kicked up by dancing, occasional trance drifts into the looped workings of the fairground machines, until an arm is caught and amputated, some light gore, the party goes on.

Tomiris is unique in Ratkiller's oevre of production breadth and flex (check 2019's blue thirty to see what I mean) it applies their bag of sonic tricks to a continued story and protracted palette of sounds allowing for a deeper dive. It's compelling like a dagger at your throat and immersive like drowning in mare's milk. "
