Aural Canyon:

" I headed to Wind Tide in Littlefield, TX early on a Friday to record all day with Andrew Weathers. The sky was brown from strong winds pushing tilled farmland dirt in the air. We tracked each instrument based on some notes I brought about Indian scales and We worked hard and finished all the recording that day, while AW helped me through all the mental second-guessing I was putting myself through. I am super lucky to have his ears and skill level on this, as well as having him play lap steel and melodica on some tracks. Thank you AW."

I thought I knew Bitches Brew but I had no idea there were all these tape cuts everywhere and even some actual tape loops. Melodic elements were layered on top with the intent of keeping the music spacious and simple, with a feeling of calm and safety.
