Choses Contraires:

"'Mal de Débarquement' features 10 tracks taken from a long collaborative piece broadcast in 2020 on LYL for Choses Contraires. With the intention of creating a form of a radio essay, the tracks were composed from raw recordings, pre-composed elements, patterns, sung, spoken, whispered and hidden voices. However, the trip was long and this tape release marks the end of a period that no longer exists - but also the beginning of a new one.

Mark Vernon is a Glasgow based sound artist whose practice focuses upon field recording, the manipulation of environmental sounds and acoustic presence. His work explores ideas of audio archaeology, magnetic memory and the reappropriation of found sounds. He is an award-winning radio producer who co-runs and curates Scottish radio art festival, Radiophrenia."
