"This is Usurper's will. The final act of 20 years of heroic struggle in the experimental/noise/improvisation/audience underground is about to end. Through 20 years of activity, Usurper has They've grown to become one of the most original and uncompromising groups to come out of the sub-sub underground, constantly pushing themselves (and their audiences) into new territory. They're fearlessly experimental; They seemed to have an endless supply of creativity; their performances combined elements of post-Fluxus performance art and theater of the absurd with a thoroughly Luddite sound palette (dismantled instruments, discarded household items). , recontextualized children's toys, etc. (like a real flea market), it was something completely unique. In the 2000 years since their formation, they have pushed the boundaries between sound, performance, theater, and life. Constantly ambiguous, he developed his own colloquial Gesamtkunstwork.

We are very proud to be able to release this CD. When we asked Ali and Marci to release something on our label, we had no idea that it would be their last release. I'm biased, of course, but I think this collection of improvised pieces and miniature radio plays couldn't have ended on a better note. I hope it brings you as much joy and smiles as it did to me. "

Krim Krim:

"Here's the last will and testament of Usurper. The final curtain on two decades of heroic toil in the experimental/noise/improv/no-audience underground. Over the course of their twenty year existence, Usurper developed into one of the most original and uncompromising groups to emerge from the early 2000's sub-sub underground, always pushing themselves (and audiences) to new territory. They were fearlessly experimental, with seemingly limitless reserves of creativity. Their performances were absolutely unique, combining elements of post-Fluxus performance art and absurdist theater with a thoroughly Luddite sound palette (via a veritable flea market's worth of dismantled instruments, household detritus, and recontextualized children's toys). Within their twenty years together, they developed their own colloquial Gesamtkunstwerk, continuously blurring the lines between sound, performance, theatre, and life.

I'm immensely proud to be releasing this CD. When I asked Ali and Malcy to do a release on the label, I couldn't have foreseen that it would be their swansong. I'm biased of course but I think this collection of improvised ditties and radio play miniatures is as good a way to clock out as can be. I hope it brings you as much joy and smiles as it has brought to me."
