" Canaanland draws from American music traditions of gospel, bluegrass, and old-time, collaging them in a way that is as much Morton Subotnick as it is Charles Ives. I play guitar, dobro, fiddle, organ, and banjo on the record, in an array of recordings made as far back as 2016 on a variety of media and with ample electronic manipulation. It's my first record as a solo act since my Holy Page Records release CRAWL in 2014.
