"On the eastern slope of the Ural Mountains, in the city of Chelyabinsk Evgeny Smirnov lives in. Musician and DJ, he releases music under the name Состояние Сияния (Sostoyanie Siyaniya).
On July 29th Zhenya's album appeared on Faktura.
The settlement of the southern Urals began about 200-40 thousand years ago. During this time, many generations of locals have passed one another, and while society has moved into concrete walls, the spirit of the place echoes across the generations of people who lived here.
With the help of cassette field recordings, a bass guitar, and a Soviet Formant synthesizer, Zhenya has created an incredibly detailed image of the vague concept of Local Man.
Местный (Mestniy) is a fingerprint of the evolution of Urals society from primitive times to the present day. "
