" Felt Out is the alt pop duo and creative brainchild of Sowmya Somanath and Walter Nichols. On its face, Felt Out presents pop songs with a multicolored skeleton of synths, wind instruments, driving beats, guitar, lush vocals, and whatever else the two stumble Upon. Underneath, it's the culmination of a decade-long friendship; it's the documentation of a search that doesn't end.

Until Iʼm Light is about sitting with the crushing experience of loving someone at the wrong time. This love presents flashes of deep self truth, inevitably drawing us to an edge of reality where we must choose either the path of least resistance in security, or a A painful leap into mystery, emboldened by the hope of flight. The songs in this album evolve in tandem with our journey through time, reflecting a spectrum of a descent into dark heaviness and coming out the other end light and weightless."
