Edition of 50.

Full Spectrum Records:

"For the latest in our Llano Disc series, Lubbock's Noah Alonzo presents two compositions for modified cassette decks. Noah came out to WInd Tide to record in the days immediately following the catastrophic final days of the cafe he'd been working at. last one at helm before letting it go, locals probably know the story.

Noah's work with cassette decks are generative, he sets up an elaborate system of interlocking loops and tape heads and lets it go, adding subtle processing and occasional additional instrumentation. Short Cycled is hauntological in the way that tape manipulation tends towards, but grounded more in the physical reality of magnetic-coated plastic than in the distance of nostalgia. There's something buried beneath the hiss, but I'm not sure that it's memory."
