Artist statement by yan jun (颜峻):

"hmmm... i forget what title we have decided for our album.
i'm sitting in the same room we recorded it right now. the walls, the ceiling and the electricity and the neighbors are still
the same.
i'm listening to prince paul right now. no. i'm not really listening but just half listening. my attention is like waves up
and down and twisting with it and these text i'm writing and so on.
the neighbors... no, they are changing. no more decoration from upstairs these days. no piano today. is this room still the
same? and, so, am i the same?
when i listen to this room or listen to our music i feel like i'm listening to a part of myself. for sure we observe ourselves
from time to time. it's good for us. as when we recorded it we were building ourselves.
yizhou is in tokyo right now. sound check before a concert at forest limit, a place i have played at a few years ago. is
this venue still the same? people might say hmmm not exactly you know this and that is different and the vibes are
constantly flowing... the bass is waving. the room is waving in a musical way and it's very unusual. i haven't play any
musical music in this room for long time. why should i play that if i hear everything perfect already from this broken
twisted chaos world? so why not if musical music is part of this ever-flowing unknown order?
as it's always we stand at the first place of our birth. and we are not really stand. instead we wave in and out the walls."
