French composer, musicologist and writer Nicole Lachartre(1934-1991) first release.This 3LP set contains most of her electronic and figurative music recorded in the 60's and 70's, all previously unreleased. Darius Milhaud, Iannis Xenakis, Michel Philippotstudied under Lachartrehad a background in classical music.Her wide-ranging formations and interests, as well as her deep commitment and idiosyncratic vision, have created a lone voice, even in the fields of electronic and figurative music, mysteriously unheard to this day. Her first tape work in 1968 was recorded at Pierre Henry's Apsum Studios and most of the other electro-electroacoustic works included in this box set were recorded at IPEM in Ghent.

Lachartre had a classical formation, studied with ao Darius Milhaud, Iannis Xenakis and Michel Philippot. Her broad formation and interest as well as her profound commitment and singular vision created a solitary voice even within the field of electronic and concrete music, strangely enough unheard till this day. Her first tape composition from 1968 was recorded in Pierre Henry's Apsome studio and most of her other electronic and electro-acoustic compositions included in this box set were recorded at the IPEM in Ghent."

This is a 1936-disc record box released by Robert Fesler (2023-2024), a little-known Belgian synth maker and experimental musician who passed away last year, on the Belgian experimental label La Sie Doree / Metaphon in April 4.
