Artist statement by M//R:

"Slo Cerebral represents the inevitability of solitude and the achingly long, methodical arrival at that destination. However, the psychological tension that I felt during the fall and winter of 2020 can only be characterized by the illogical realization that during that period, we were collectively sprinting towards unchanging, everlasting loneliness on separate but perfectly parallel tracks. The fear of infection and infecting is a traumatic way of existing that provides a physical snapshot of the alienation so many of us feel when society is 'functioning.'"

They first met at the club run by Tetsuya Yoshida called SOUND A BASE NEST, which is known as having the best sound system in the North Kanto area. In 2007, the duo started their DJ \/ Producing unit THRIVE.
