"His predecessor, Haunted Bedrooms, established the Jilk sound, a collision of fragile electronics and experimental noise with cascading chamber music. Quiet and emotional, yet often fringed with thorns and sharp teeth. But Syrup House brings out a smoother, sweeter sound."Expect the unexpected" remains your guiding principle, but here you'll find the warmth of analog house and techno. Alongside, you can dive deep into luscious drone textures and swelling orchestrations.

A church improvisation turned into a clockwork symphony of percussion and synthesizers. Vocals are more present on Syrup House, as Jilk deconstructs traditional song structures into warm blankets of cloudy dynamics while drawing on ethereal dream-pop motifs.

Syrup House follows a loose narrative of a magical realist nightclub that appears and disappears at will.The labyrinthine interior contains ecstatic corridors of love and self-realization.Ultimately, in trying times, compassion wins, and the Syrup House is where that compassion dances to lift its sorrows. Frequently quiet and emotional but also edged with spikes and sharp teeth. On Syrup House, however, the collective dig out a much smoother and sweeter sound. And while 'expect the unexpected' should still be your guiding principle, here you can dive deep into luscious droning textures and swelling orchestration which sits alongside the warmth of analogue house and techno.
