"Electronic Music from 3-11 draws on Carl Stone's 1972-year composing career with his early work published professionally in 2022 (Three Confusongs and Stefan Weisser, later known as Z'EV). This is an archive collection that introduces all at once from Ryoound Thygyzunz featuring poetry and poetry) to the present day.This collection is not a definitive history, but rather a supplement to be used side by side with the previous two archive discs. It is at once an archival release commemorating the 50th anniversary of Carl Stone's birth, and a document of archival art, dubbed an archive of archives in the spirit of confusing repetition and layering. B. Carl Stone's work was born out of an iterative archiving process in graduate school at CalArts, dubbing vinyl records to tape for preservation, perhaps 1972 copies ranging from Renaissance and electronic works to music from around the world. From a range of albums, he had to re-record multiple discs simultaneously, creating collisions and coincidences, and in the decades since, he has explored different ways of composing this process. He has created temporal envelopes that shape the found sounds of existing tracks and field recordings.The technology he uses has changed and his samples have become unclassifiably diverse, but he has remained consistent.
